Policies & Perks

  • All lessons must be paid for one month in advance at the beginning of that month.

    If you would like to establish a different payment arrangement, I’m more than willing to accommodate you; just make sure to reach out before the payment deadline. Please note that the cancellation policy applies to all payment plans.

    To ensure that all students have access to repertoire, method books, and other necessary sheet music, a $20 materials fee is charged at the beginning of each semester.

    • Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice.

    • Lessons canceled with prior notice can either be rescheduled or credited.

    • Failing to provide notice will result in the lesson fee being charged, with no option for rescheduling.

    • Each student is permitted one late cancellation without penalty during the school year.

    • Emergencies, such as illness or family crises, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    • Zoom lessons may be available for situations involving illness or long distances.

  • Students are required to take at least 24 lessons a year.

    To improve steadily and meet this requirement, I recommend scheduling at least two lessons each month.

  • At the end of each semester, I offer need and merit based financial awards for my most outstanding and dedicated students.

  • I permit my students to rent instruments from me while their flute is undergoing temporary repairs, provided they also give a credit card for insurance. If the instrument is not returned with proper care, a fine will be imposed.
